Digital x-rays
Our office utilizes digital x-rays for diagnostic purposes. Although traditional x-rays emit a miniscule amount of radiation, new digital x-rays reduce radiation exposure significantly. We capture radiographs through a digital radiography technique, which decreases radiation up to 90% and results in higher levels of clarity for better diagnosis. The doctor may read the x-ray instantly on the computer monitor, magnify for clarity and expedite your treatment plan. Now you and the doctors can discuss any dental treatment that needs to be performed so that it can be scheduled that same day.
Intraoral Cameras
We offer enlightening and educational displays of your teeth and surrounding tissues through intraoral imaging. The intraoral camera is like a video camera that takes you on a tour of your mouth. It captures pictures of your teeth and gums. The image is then immediately displayed on a computer monitor. These high tech cameras will help you see exactly what is happening during the examination and have a better understanding of necessary treatment.
DIAGNOdent
The DIAGNOdent is an evolutionary breakthrough for dentistry. It is a diagnostic tool used for cavity detection. It is a safe and comfortable laser that simply scans your teeth, identifying cavities, as well as potential cavities. It is far more efficient and accurate than the old-fashioned hand instrument that relies on tactile sense. The instrument is synonymous with PREVENTION as it assesses problems early in development, allowing the dentist to reverse the effects of tooth decay.
Tooth Colored Fillings
Drs. Williams and Williams specialize in new tooth colored fillings. They are metal free tooth colored restorations that are virtually undetectable in your mouth, unlike the old fashioned silver colored amalgams that are extremely noticeable. Nanotechnology is incorporated into our materials to give you a natural looking , durable and esthetic restoration.
Bonding
We offer the latest and highest rated bonding materials and cements to give you the most durable, strong, and esthetic restoration. Tooth bonding is a custom-made , tooth colored material that is applied and bonded to the tooth, reinforcing tooth structure. It is an effective way to repair minor chips, cracks and stains on your teeth. The treated tooth area will blend indistinguishable from your natural tooth and other teeth to create the smile you desire.
Cerec 3D Crowns and Veneers
We provide the latest and most innovative choices in porcelain crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers. The new CEREC 3D machine allows us to customize and fabricate tooth colored restorations quickly and easily as we value your time. With the Cerec 3D, Drs. Williams and Williams can create beautiful crowns, cosmetic veneers, and other restorations in one visit.
Veneers
Drs. Williams and Williams are trained to provide the newest ultra thin (“contact-lens thin”) cosmetic Veneer. Veneers are porcelain facings that create cosmetically beautiful smiles. They correct gaps and spaces between teeth, crooked teeth, and front teeth that are worn and chipped. The Veneers slide over your natural teeth and are virtually undetectable. With the CEREC 3D machine, your veneers can be created in a single visit for your convenience.
Bridges
A bridge is a way to replace one or more missing teeth. Gaps and missing teeth can cause shifting of other teeth, bite problems, speech impediments and jaw pain. We provide metal free, natural looking bridges as a solution to missing teeth.
Tooth Whitening
We offer the newest technology in Whitening techniques with the option of a one hour “in office” whitening procedure or customized bleaching trays for home use. The “in office” method uses a specially designed tooth whitening gel that is first applied to the enamel of your teeth. The treated teeth are then exposed to a whitening light/lamp. You can improve the brightness of your teeth by 6-10 shades. “At home trays” may be used for “touch ups” or further whitening. It is one of the easiest and best things you can do for your smile. With either method, your smile will attain beautiful results.
Sealants
Sealants are a preventive, safe procedure that is painless and low cost versus restorative fillings. Sealants have been used primarily on children’s teeth for more than 20 years. However, any tooth without a restoration can benefit from this thin, protective plastic covering. It may be tooth colored or clear and is bonded to the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars. The sealant forms a hard protective shield that keeps food and bacteria from getting in to the tiny groves in the teeth and causing decay.
TMJ
Symptoms of TMJ (temporomandibular joint) can range from head and neck aches to popping or clicking when you open your jaw. It can be a source of pain that many individuals experience. A thorough dental exam may reveal the problem. Treatment can range from bite guards/occlusal guards to muscle relaxers.
Perio and Non-surgical Treatment
Periodontal disease is an infection in the gums that is prevalent in people over 35 years of age. Unhealthy gums can lead to pain, gum damage, bone loss and future tooth loss. Periodontal disease is a red flag and potential for stroke and heart disease. Drs. Williams and Williams and the trained professional hygienists can provide a special type of cleaning called “Scaling and Root Planing” with other adjunctive antibiotic procedures to help manage this disease. The cleaning may take two to four or more visits and you may need local anesthesia. The doctor and hygienist will design a soft tissue management program, a non-surgical approach to control periodontal disease. There is no CURE for periodontal disease; it can only be managed.
Sterilization Techniques
We offer the latest in Sterilization Techniques such as autoclaves, ultrasonics and monitoring systems to assure results.
