Dr. Michael D. Williams is a native of Huntington, WV and wants to mention first and foremost that he is a huge fan of the Marshall University Thundering Herd Football team. He attended Marshall University and went on to West Virginia University Dental School after only three years of undergraduate studies. In dental school, Dr. Mike excelled in clinical studies of dentistry. During his fourth year of dental school, He and his new bride, Connie, took a trip down the east coast to find a place to settle, have a family, and start a dental practice.

They settled on Raleigh , North Carolina and have called it home ever since. Although ties still remain strong to the state of West Virginia , he considers himself a North Carolinian and even allowed his kids to attend the University of North Carolina . Dr. Williams truly enjoys cosmetic, rehabilitative, and preventative dentistry. He built his practice on the concept of providing the very best treatment in a caring and gentle environment. He finds the relationship of oral health and its effects on the total body health very interesting. His hobbies and interests include golf, playing guitar, playing the bass, and singing in the Highland United Methodist Church Choir. He plays golf avidly and loves to talk about it. He plays the bass in the Highland United Methodist praise band. He has also played upright bass while touring with the Ravenscroft orchestra to exotic locations such as Italy and Austria.

Dr. M. Craig Williams was born in Raleigh, NC and lived there until he graduated from Ravenscroft High School. In high school, he spent time playing varsity football, basketball, and baseball and studying to attend college. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he attained his bachelor of science in business administration. During his four years in Chapel Hill, he enjoyed attending Carolina basketball games at the Smith Center and was lucky enough to travel to Indianapolis for the 1997 Final Four. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Williams attended the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Morgantown, West Virginia provided a tremendous atmosphere for learning sound clinical dentistry and patient care.

While in Morgantown, Dr. Craig Williams learned the meaning of being a mountaineer football fan as he lived a stones throw from the stadium and enjoyed attending most of the exciting home games. He even managed to pick up some lunch money by parking cars in his front yard. If you think North Carolina fans are crazy about basketball, then you ought to see hundreds of RV's heading to town the night before a home football game in Morgantown. It is quite exciting.
Although he enjoyed his time in the beautiful state of West Virginia, Dr. Craig Williams never forgot the sunny weather and warm southern hospitality of North Carolina. Upon Graduation from WVU, he moved back to Raleigh to get married and to begin practicing with his father, Dr. Michael D. Williams. Dr. Craig Williams' wife, Melissa teaches art lessons from home and produces whimsical art in many forms.  They have one son, Brock, and twin girls, Emmaline and Adelaide.

Dr. Craig Williams enjoys playing golf and basketball. He also enjoys playing with computers and other modern technology. He was especially excited to begin practicing with his father since the technology in the office, such as digital X-rays, Cerec one visit crowns, and the intra-oral cameras, was extremely advanced.

Clinical Dental Assistants Our TEAM of Dental Assistants aid in the delivery of efficient and precise dental care. They assist the doctors in all dental procedures to aid in dental treatment of the patient and to obtain quality dentistry. The dental assistant anticipates dental procedures and transfers instruments, mixes materials, takes and develops x-rays. They document and record patient treatment, diagnosis and future necessary treatment during the examination with the doctors. Their goal is to help educate the patient/parent pertaining their treatment.

Clinical Dental Hygienists Our TEAM of Dental Hygienists deliver high quality dental hygiene treatment to patients with positive emotional and physical comfort so that they always feel they are “number one as a person” and dental health as the main concern. They provide high quality dental hygiene treatment involving existing gingival problems, provide patient education theories and methods to instruct and guide patients towards optimal oral health, conduct research to improve patient care, and they conduct health promotion activities for the practice as well as the community.
